Grow your ideas like a seed
Hi,
In the middle of a retrospective with my team, we had an idea. We were releasing new software versions frequently and wanted to communicate the content of these releases within the company. Both as a written log for ourselves as well as an update for other teams. The question was how we were going to make this happen. Surely we needed to discuss this with other teams first. Maybe our scrum master and product owner had to give their approval. And after that, we would need to inform our VP about…
No.
We soon realised that if we would have to jump through so many hoops, things would never lift off. So, we decided on another approach. We started to grow our ideas like a seed.
Tweet of the Week
When you teach something to others, you have to understand the content inside out. It brings learning to another level. So yeah, if you’re getting paid to teach, you’re indeed getting paid to learn.
Video of the Week
A video about the Mariana Trench - the deepest seafloor - got me thinking about the comfort zone. Just like the most wondrous things live in the deepest parts of the ocean, the most interesting things happen outside your comfort zone. So, don't expect to find wonders from the comfort of your fishing boat.
That’s it for this week. Thanks for reading!
